CLAUDIA LONDON / SMALL BUSINESS SPECIALIST

Claudia graduated from Western Michigan University in 1986 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Anthropology and a minor in Sociology. Not long after graduating she took a job as a receptionist at a local CPA firm. It was here that the “dominant gene of accounting” took over, and she decided to pursue a career in accounting just like her father and older brother, Dan Carter, had before her. She worked her way up, and eventually was put in charge of bookkeeping and payroll clients at that same firm. In addition, she prepared business and personal returns and assisted with audits. During this time, she took some accounting classes through Grand Valley State University. After having her two children, she worked part-time at the local firm through 2016. Claudia joined Dan Carter Advisors in the Summer of 2016 where she helps with the bookkeeping and tax preparation. Claudia lives in the Grand Rapids area with her husband Steve of 35+ years and their children, Alec and Kathryn. She spends her free time working as the bookkeeper of a nonprofit neighborhood park and outdoor pool. She enjoys taking care of her home and family, gardening, and watching home improvement shows.
